Do you love to photograph and want to learn how to create a story using a series of self-made images? National Geographic photographer Ed Kashi will teach you all the basics of visual storytelling in an intensive and creative 2-day experience!

This is a one-off and unique opportunity and only available on the weekend of 18 and 19 October. If you want to be assured of a place, register now!

About the photography bootcamp:

Do you enjoy photography and want to challenge yourself to get better? You don't have time to commit to a fixed series of classes for a long time? Then immerse yourself in an intensive photography weekend where you will learn everything you need for a good photo story from National Geographic photographer Ed Kashi.

The spoken language during this photography weekend is ENGLISH. And you should bring your own photo camera and accessories.

For whom is this Photography bootcamp?

This photography weekend is for people who have already pretty much mastered the basic technique of photography. But above all, your motivation is important. Experience in making complete photo series is not necessary.

Please note that the spoken language during this photography weekend is ENGLISH. And you should bring your own photo camera and accessories.

What will you learn:

- What elements a visual story consists of

- How to choose a sharp angle for your story

- How to photograph your subjects; landscapes, portraits, details....

- How to make your visual story really come to life (visual storytelling)

The weekend is very intensive, the group is small and therefore there is plenty of opportunity for feedback, both from the other participants and the teacher.

The aim is for each participant to create a photo essay of 5-8 strong images, together with a text of 50-100 words describing their story.

What will you NOT learn?

You will not learn how to operate your camera during the photography weekend. So we do not offer technical camera instruction.

The photography weekend takes place in Amsterdam. Everyone over the age of 18 is welcome to register.

Please note that there is only room for 12 participants. So don't wait too long to sign up!
